AGIO Stock Sinks 29% in Three Months: Here's What You Need to Know
Agios Pharmaceuticals' stock declined 29% over three months following the discontinuation of tebapivat across all indications after failing to demonstrate differentiation from existing treatments. With tebapivat no longer advancing, the company is increasingly dependent on mitapivat, which showed strong 259.3% year-over-year sales growth to $44.7 million in Q2 2026. However, intensifying competition from Novo Nordisk's etavopivat in the sickle cell disease market poses challenges as Agios awaits FDA approval for mitapivat in SCD by November 2026.
